Hey there! I'm Anupama, a Staff Product Designer at Okta, where I lead design for Identity and Access Management (IAM) platform, previously at PayPal.
In my 10+ years of experience, I have designed User Interfaces and experiences, planned, supported, and implemented features and roadmaps, and led cross-functional teams at companies like Walmart Labs, Deloitte Digital, and Zomato.

Designing PayPal's Privacy settings
As the driving force behind PayPal's privacy settings redesign, I've enhanced comprehension and engagement for new users. My efforts support our company-wide goal of boosting interaction across PayPal, Honey, and Venmo, delivering intuitive control over digital privacy.

Design Walmart's Scan & Go app
To ensure a seamless omnichannel experience between the mobile app and in-store environment, we conducted ethnographic research at a Walmart store to better understand the tactical scanning and cart management behaviors of customers.

Launch Chase Pay integration with Walmart Pay
“Save Money. Live Better.” is Walmart’s slogan. When Savings Catcher, a price-matching program, retired on May 14, 2019, customer adoption and usage of Walmart Pay dropped significantly. People needed better incentives to use the service. Launching Chase Pay digital wallet integration with Walmart Pay did just that – give customers more ways to save and more convenience to shop at Walmart.

Anupama’s contributed to both product design and brand design during her time at Qplum. She was quick to grasp fintech specific concepts needed to understand the overall landscape, strategy and user expectations, even though this was a completely new product area.
She was also receptive to feedback on her designs and led multiple brainstorming sessions with engineers early in the design process to ensure alignment. Her ability to execute in startup environment at such a fast pace was critical to multiple product launches and marketing campaigns for our firm.

I had the pleasure of working with Anupama at PayPal. She is a fantastic design partners and really easy to work with. Anupama's proactive research and competitor evaluations as well as her ability to help guide usability testing all contributed to the successful rollout of key features. Anupama was always ready and willing to work directly with developers to find solutions to address and design around technical limitations. Anupama would be an asset to any organization.
Anu is a girl with all things aesthetic. Be it the work she does or the way she thinks or the way she gracefully captures her Insta. I have seen this kid grew up to be a go to person for all things creative and I am so proud of her. The thing I like most about her is the confident to take up any challenges and finding the solution on her own. Understand her strengths, tell her your vision, give her some space and just hear her roar.

Cycling, meditation, watercolor painting, books and long walks! My interests include painting, I enjoy creating digital art, I read and much more :)
